Angel’s Ervin Santana Tosses No-Hitter
For the ninth time in franchise history an Angel has thrown a no-hitter as Ervin Santana completed the feat this afternoon at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Collecting ten strikeouts in the game, he allowed an unearned run in the first inning, but then never looked back. This is his first career victory in the ballpark and his first career no-hitter as well. This was the first no-hitterĀ for an Angel since Mike Witt’s perfect game on the last day of the season in 1984.
