Brandon Marshall Traded to Bears
Free agency is still seconds away from beginning, and yet we’ve already been dealt the first major move. The Dolphins have traded receiver Brandon Marshall to the Bears, where he’ll reunite with quarterback Jay Cutler.
The Dolphins will get two third-round picks — one in ’12, the other in ’13.
NY Jets Santonio Holmes back in 2012?
There are a lot of questions swirling around the situation that has now ended for the 2011 season regarding the New York Jets. Their offense sputtered the last few games of the season with them not even reaching the 20-point mark in any of their last three games. Their average was 23.6 points per game for the 2011 season, ranking 13th in the league. Those games also happened to be losses to the Eagles, Giants and Dolphins in a
Chiefs and Dolphins Fire Coaches
The Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins have fired their head coach’s Todd Haley and Tony Sparano, according to NFL.com. Haley leaves the Chiefs after less than three seasons and a record of 19-25 with a .432 winning percentage. It is rumored that Haley and Chiefs GM Scott Pioli never had a great relationship in the first place and this was a long time coming. Haley started his career with the New York Jets in the scouting department in 1995. He went on to coach with the Jets, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals before becoming head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2009.
Ochocinco and Haynesworth Headed to New England
The New England Patriots are making a huge splash in the days following the new CBA reached by the NFL and the NFL Players Association. Albert Haynesworth was traded to the Patriots for a fifth-round pick in 2013 and another deal soon followed. The Cincinatti Bengals moved Chad Ochocinco to the Patriots in another trade that shocked the football world. Sources around the NFL say
New York Jets Braylon Edwards arrested on DUI
ESPN.com is reporting that New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested early this morning for DUI. It is said he was pulled over for illegal tint on his windows and alcohol was smelled by police. According to early reports, Edwards blew a 0.16 on a breathalyzer, which is twice the legal limit. DUI’s are reviewed under the NFL substance-abuse policy and this may result in a suspension in the future for the Jets wideout. I’m sure Rex Ryan is not too happy about this news.
